Facebook's Attitude

What you do when you are living (with your friends) in Facebook and all of a sudden you get your account disabled with an email saying,

“Unfortunately, your account has been permanently disabled for violating Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities. We will not be able to reactivate it for any reason, nor will we provide further explanation of your violation or the systems we have in place. This decision is absolutely final.”

You get baffled! I did. More so when (I think) I have not done any action that may be considered against Facebook TOS.

I have tried to figure out (and also have asked Facebook via email) about their ‘Statement of Rights and Responsibilities’ but no help. I deserve an explanation at least. Or reason for this ‘discriminatory attitude from a social network. No?

Can anyone suggest something?

MAPs

A map is a visual representation of an area. A Map represents any space, real or imagined, without regard to context or scale. There are lot of maps such as Mind-Map (used to represent words, ideas, tasks, etc.), Concept-Map (that show diagrams of relationships among concepts), Topic-Maps (designed as a standard for the representation and interchange of knowledge) etc. Maps always seem to help us find our ways. Maps help us to discover.

Here I find an interesting below Map that identifies the most popular social networks in the different countries worldwide. The colors are the house colors from the respective networks.
I expect it may be useful to you.

Another Version of the a Social Network Map.

Social Media: Revolutionizing the Face of Marketing

Companies are now convinced and realizing that marketing to today’s technology-driven, and tech-savvy consumers’ means engaging in two-way communication as it is no more one-way communication effort. With the increasing rise of social media such as blogs, , blog directories, article directories, online forums, and social networks like MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, Plaxo, Speakersites, Xing, etc. the voice of the consumer is quickly sinking out those carefully crafted company messages.

The transparency of information is now quite increased and companies are not able to hide behind their banding experts any longer.
In this scenario only those companies are being successful, which establish a sense of community with their customers, listen to their concerns, and get them involved in the company. According to a survey 3.5 million brand-related conversations taking place online daily in the United States only.

Indeed, with democratization of information through social media, marketers are finding that consumers expect to engage in dialogue with the brands rather than merely listen passively.

Marketers and companies who leverage these kinds of tools are showing their markets that they are not merely window-dressing when it comes to expressing an interest in their customers.

I encourage you to please leave your valuable comments, feedback and useful suggestions
