In response to my earlier post here are some more tips.
- Add multiple blogs.
- Create your own YouTube Channel and post your own video. Incorporate and mention your blog link at appropriate places on YouTube.
- Inform search engines and aggregators like Technorati (using the ping functionality) when your blog is updated, this should ensure maximum traffic coming from those sources. (check the List of Ping Services)
- Submit articles to blog carnivals that are related to your niche. Your article almost always gets posted, and it must generate a handful of visitors, at least.
- A great tip for generating traffic is off-line by including your url in all your off-line liturature from business cards, letterheads, pamphlets, adverts through in-store signage if applicable. I even have our website on my vehicle.
- Read lots of other blogs. Leave trackbacks. Make sure your blog is optimized for search engines. Leverage social bookmarking sites like digg (both for new ideas and for traffic).
- Squidoo Lenses are a good way to generate traffic. By using a lense, you can generate your own custom “community” of webpages, including some of the more popular pages in your “neighborhood.” Including your own blog in such a list is a good way of generating traffic.
- Keep track of blogs and leave comments on them. A good way to keep the conversation going is to install a MyBlogLog widget and visit the blog of people visiting your site.
- Submit your blog to take a look at this post about Free Directories from Entrepreneur’s Journey.
- Setting up an RSS feed button on your blog makes it easy for your loyal readers to not just read your blog but also know when you publish new content.
- Submit your best posts to social bookmarking sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit and more can be a simple way to quickly boost traffic to your blog.
- Ask for link-back from other bloggers, the more blogs links you the more ranking your blog will gain.
- Participate in Yahoo! Answers, to promote your blog link.
- The key to getting more visitors to your blog is to post useful, original, well-written keywords oriented rich content. If you feel you’re doing that but no one is noticing, send a link to one of your great posts to blogs that write about similar things, and when they link it, you’ll see traffic, and readers will subscribe to your site. If they don’t link it—try, try again. A good blog is a large collection of posts, not just one essay.
- Go to Google-Trends (another Google’s website), see what people are searching for in Google and what the hot topics are, and start posting about those topics.
- Offer Free Articles or eBooks: eBook are great because they are also portable. you can use hand held devices to read eBooks or articles so give people the opportunity to download this content to heir devices. People love free stuff and they will appreciate your efforts.
- Do not quit too early, just try too long. The failure is there when you stop trying.

Excellent article. There are lots of SEO points to take in. There are so many things I didn't know from this list. It's definitely worth reviewing again and again. And I haven't even looked at the original post.
